چکیده
Abstract Mines result in land use and cover (LULC) change due to degradation of natural resources establishment new infrastructure for ore extraction beneficiation. The present study was carried out to, with objectives, (1) characterize LULC (from 1975 2017) Khetri copper mine region, (2) spatial distribution pollution indices (3) spectral response elemental concentration soil groundwater using Landstat ASTER satellite data. designed fulfil the objectives same NDVI values were calculated classification generated maps analyzed landscape pattern. Spatial geochemical data plotted understand impact contamination on correlation bands heavy metals assess their possible quantification metals. Results show constant increase settlements, mines open area while vegetation has decreased. Landscape class level metrics (number patch, patch density, aggregation index shape index) indicate fragmentation recent years. Shannon’s Evenness Index indicates uniformity it is attributed loss agriculture patches. Pollution indices, Load high near overburden materials Environmental Risk (I ER ) Contamination ground water abandoned mines. Spectral 5 6 (SWIR 1) significant negative correlation, 9 (Cirrus) shows positive metal suggesting remote sensing assessment at level. Thus, can be concluded that significantly influence pattern could used predication broader scale a cost-effective way.

Mental Morbidity in Industrial Workers of Khetri Copper Complex1
There is dearth of researches pertaining to prevalence of mental morbidity in Industrial setups, particularly in our country. They are important as psychological ill health of workers may adversely effect the productivity in developing country like India.Khetri Copper Complex in Rajasthan was selected for present study. Aims were to determine the period prevalence of mental morbidity among worke...
متن کاملMaintainability measure based on operating environment, a case study: Sungun copper mine
The life cycle cost of a system is influenced by its maintainability. Maintainability is a design parameter, whose operational conditions can affect it significantly. Hence, the effects of these operational conditions should be quantified early in the design phase. The proportional repair model (PRM), which is developed based on the proportional hazard model (PHM), can be used to analyze mainta...
متن کاملMine environmental monitoring using CHRIS Proba imagery of the Dexing Copper Mine, China
Traditional ground based monitoring of mining activities are no longer acceptable or sometimes sufficient in terms of assessing sustainable business practices. Remote sensing is increasingly influencing the changing social and management processes of mineral extractions. This study focuses on the application of hyperspectral remote sensing to monitor water and vegetation pollutions at the Dexin...
متن کاملPrediction of Acid Mine Drainage Generation Potential of A Copper Mine Tailings Using Gene Expression Programming-A Case Study
This work presents a quantitative predicting likely acid mine drainage (AMD) generation process throughout tailing particles resulting from the Sarcheshmeh copper mine in the south of Iran. Indeed, four predictive relationships for the remaining pyrite fraction, remaining chalcopyrite fraction, sulfate concentration, and pH have been suggested by applying the gene expression programming (GEP) a...
